Vincent Gognitti is widely considered to be the cause of the Punchinello's fall from grace during the 2000's. Gognitti's work consisted of managing finances for the family as well as overseeing the family's Valkyr distribution during the late 1990's during the Valkyr Case, Gognitti is also responsible for getting the Punchinello's into a war with Vladimir Lem's Russian Mafia. Through his years of working for the family he rose through the ranks and eventually became a made member and a capo, mostly working alongside Jack Lupino. Gognitti was born in New York City to a family of Italian decent and joined up the Punchinello family.
