Yes yes, i have tested with many different drivers, pretweaked drivers, different game versions, installing without firewall, installing in safe mode, without x-fire, and besides, x-fire is not the problem since the game worked with x-fire enabled. And i have exactly the same problem with BFME 2, only that it has ALWAYS popped that Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error after EA's own error raport screen.
Only this time, after crashing on the splash screen again, after the EA error raporting it pops the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime error! screen. However, i recently HAD to uninstall the game and now the motha****ing problem is back. And all of a sudden, with no logical explanation, the game started and worked fine. So, i did everything EA support guys said, reinstalled game and deleted entries from registry editor etc. Installing went fine without errors, but the game crashed (popped a EA application error raport) on the small splash screen before the game really starts.
So, after i updated my old system (everything except Ati Radeon x1950xtx), BFME 1 did not work anymore (I tried BFME 2 only later). GPUs: Ati Radeon x1950xtx x-fire master, Ati Radeon x1950xtx.
